Back To School Drives
We pride ourselves in helping disadvantaged kids in our community get the supplies they need to go back to school.
Since 2011 HLES has provided over 150,000.00 in scholarships to high achieving college students.
HLES has hosted numerous softball tournaments to honor the fallen heroes of our Police Departments.
The HLES, currently has 500 members spread across Essex County. Led by President George Torres, our members are highly committed to improving the lives of our residents, through community focused events. We address fighting hunger, education and the prevention of violence.
In 2015 we established our HLES Headquarters located at 840 Mt. Prospect Ave, Newark, NJ 07104. HLES now can provide members with a safe place to come and discuss important issues.
